Grief, anxiety, depression in women subject of seminar at Summit

Summit Medical Center recognized for cancer care By ANDY HUMBLES ahumbles@tennessean.com 726-5939 • May 30, 2008 Summit Medical Center has been presented with the 2007 Commission on Cancer Outstanding Achievement Award by the Commission on Cancer of the American College of Surgeons. Only 66 programs nationwide received the Outstanding Achievement Award from surveys performed in 2007. Consideration for the award included an on-site evaluation by a physician surveyor during which the facility demonstrates a Commendation level of compliance with seven standards measuring the full scope of the cancer program.Facilities surveyed also receive a compliance rating for the remaining 29 standards.
