Grief, anxiety, depression in women subject of seminar at Summit

BY ANDY HUMBLES AHUMBLES@TENNESSEAN.COM 726-5939 • June 16, 2008 The causes of grief, anxiety and depression in women will be the program topic for the next Just for Women seminar series at 6 p.m. Thursday, June 26, in Classroom C at Summit Medical Center in Hermitage. The monthly series is free and for women of any age. Amy Johnson, Ph.D., with Tennessee Oncology, will lead the program. Reservations are required. Call 342-1919.

Diabetes program at Summit

By ANDY HUMBLES | ahumbles@tennessean.com | 726-5939 • April 25, 2008 A program titled Know Your Diabetes Care Team is scheduled for 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 14 in Classroom D at Summit Medical Center. The seminar is the fifth in a six part series. It will focus on the need to find and use a diabetes support team and explores the services provided by various team members, including a Certified Diabetes Educator, dietician, endocrinologist, family and friends. Teri Luina of the Summit Diabetes Center, will be the presenter. A light lunch will follow the program. The seminar is open to diagnosed with diabetes or those caring for an immediate family member with diabetes. Reservations are required. Call 342-1919.
