Mayor to kick off Walk Nashville Week today

Mayor Karl Dean will participate in the kickoff event for the 12th Annual Walk Nashville Week at 11 a.m. today, at the Nashville Farmer’s Market. Dean will greet participants and a group walk will follow. Other events planned for Walk Nashville Week include: • Saturday — Nashville Cares AIDS Walk; • Sunday — Walk to the Titans Game; • Monday — Walk Your Neighborhood; • Oct. 5 — Walk to Work; • Oct. 6 — Walk to School; • Oct. 7 — Walk for Active Aging; • Oct. 8 — Walk at Lunch.
