The General Jackson Showboat Says

Hands On Nashville volunteers are invited to attend the “Volunteer Appreciation Cruise Aboard the General Jackson” on Friday, July 2. The iconic boat celebrates 25 years of cruising the Cumberland River and its post-flood return to service. Registered volunteers will be treated to a delicious brunch prepared by the award-winning chefs at Gaylord Opryland Resort and Attractions; the fantastic entertainment of Tim Watson’s Fiddlin’ Around; and a scenic cruise to downtown – all at no cost. Once the Showboat arrives downtown, a media event with live performances and speeches will take place, commemorating the General Jackson’s Silver Anniversary. This is just one small way the General Jackson Showboat is saying “thank you” for the tireless efforts of HON volunteers. Reservations are limited and available on a first come, first served basis.
