Residents Oppose WIC Clinic In Hickory Hollow Mall

Channel 5 News By Lisa Chavarria ANTIOCH, Tenn.- Residents will have a final say about a proposed health clinic for low income families in Hickory Hollow Mall. The clinic would be part of the Woman, Infants and Children program. WIC provides federal grants to states to care for low-income pregnant women, young mothers, infants and children up to age of five who are found to be at nutritional risk. There are some members of the Antioch community who don't want this type of clinic to be located inside Hickory Hollow Mall. To see video, click the link above....What are you feelings??? Protestors will come together at a town hall meeting Monday night to show their opposition to the Metro Health Department opening the WIC clinic. The town hall meeting has been scheduled for 6 p.m. at Apollo Middle School, located at 631 Richards Road in Antioch.
