"Homeowner Shoots, Injures Suspect In Home Invasion"

A South Nashville homeowner shot a man, allegedly trying to invade his home. It happened on Dover Road, near Briley Parkway. Reported March 7, 2008 Wkrn (Channel 2) Police say three men broke into the home around 5 p.m. Thursday. A woman was inside at the time, and called her husband, scared that someone was in the home. When he got home, the suspects and the homeowner got into a gunfight. It's not clear how many shots were fired, but one suspect was shot. "The suspect that was shot here at the scene, went a short distance, before he stopped, and was taken into custody," said Captain Randy Hickerson of the Metro Police Department.
