Metro Schools Closed Tuesday

Channel 5 News Posted: May 03, 2010 4:19 PM CDT NASHVILLE, Tenn. - The roads and flooding are still a major concern for local school districts across the mid-state causing some counties to cancel school. Davidson County has joined the list and closed schools for Tuesday. "Principals are in the buildings, as well as custodial staff, and we will be ready to open when power is back on and the roads are clear," said Metro Schools director Dr. Jesse Register. According to the Metro Schools website, approximately 50 schools have reported damage, mostly minor. Six of those schools have more significant damage. They reported most damage has been repaired or will be repaired soon.
