Crime UpDate from Metro Nashville Police

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE November 19, 2009 Metro Police and the FBI’s Violent Crimes Task Force are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the man believed responsible for robbing the Fifth Third Bank branch at 2326 Murfreesboro Pike late this afternoon. He approached the teller and demanded money at gunpoint at 5 p.m. He fled on foot. The suspect is described as a black man in his 20’s who is approximately 5’7” tall with a medium build. At the time of the robbery, he wore all black clothing and a ski mask. Anyone with information about the bank robber is urged to contact Detective Keith Sutherland with the FBI Violent Crimes Task Force at 232-7500 or Crime Stoppers at 74-CRIME.
