Series of business matchmaking webinars planned

May 19, 2009 The Business Enterprise Resource Office, a division of the Tennessee Department of Economic and Community Development, will host one in a monthly series of Tennessee Business Matchmaking Webinars today. The goal is to give small, minority-, and women-owned businesses a new way to learn about contract opportunities with public and private entities. The series will run every third Tuesday from May through December from 10-11 a.m. Registration is mandatory for anyone who wants to take part; participants can sign up by calling 1-800-872-7201. Anyone who cannot attend the live series can view a playback at http://tnecd.gov/matchmaking. Other webinars include: June 16, doing business with the U.S. Corps of Engineers; Aug. 18, Oak Ridge National Laboratories; Sept. 15, BWXT Y-12; Oct. 20, BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee; Nov. 17, Tennessee Department of Transportation; and Dec. 15, success stories from small businesses.
