District 29 Great American “Green” Clean-up

Get with neighbors, watch groups, associations and various community organizations to go green, clean-up, spruce up, clean out District 29.
Hosted by the Alliance of District 29, this will be our day for you to get together with you neighbors and clean up your immediate area. Whether it is pulling up signs in the public right of way, picking up trash or planting trees/flowers, it is all about looking good in the neighborhood.
You can get free gloves, trash bags, flowers seeds and T-shirts for your clean up group by contacting Lawrence Jackson of Metro Beautification @ 862-8418.
When you are finished cleaning up your immediate neighborhood area, come to Smith Springs Church of Christ, 2783 Smith Springs Road, where you can
1) Donate your not so used household/clothing to Goodwill
2) Throw away large appliances/furniture etc.
3) Shred your confidential documents for FREE
4) Donate your old cell phone and charger to the domestic violence shelter that will be used by domestic violence victims to call for help
5) Donate your soda can tabs to Ronald McDonald House.
6)NEW! Green Earth Recycling will be also be on hand to receive the following electronic items for recycling: computers, keyboards/mouse, computers. laptops, televisions (1 per household), printers, radios, stereos, land line phones, DVD/CD players, walkman and clocks
And So much more!!!!
From 12 noon to 1 pm, free hamburgers, hot dogs, water and soda will be served as you fellowship with your neighbors. It will be fun and it won’t be GREAT unless you participate.
