Some kind words sent in about Charlotte Parrish

Those of us in the Donelson-Hermitage community were saddened to hear of the loss of our dear friend and neighbor Charlotte Parrish. Her elegant and descriptive stories in the News Herald about our schools, neighborhoods, and community kept all of Donelson-Hermitage connected. In her words, you knew the details as if you had been there. She was often spotted late into the night finding the details of any issue that would impact our community. She always stuck around until the last citizen left to ask them their opinion and share it with her readers. Charlotte knew our names, our faces, and our issues. She was one of us and proud of it. They don't make them like Ms.Charlotte any more. Filling her shoes will be a mighty task for the News Herald. Donelson-Hermitage is a better place because of the life and work of Charlotte Parrish.
