Middle Tennessee
Several Middle Tennessee communities are eligible to receive money from the state for their recycling efforts.
The Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation is preparing to give $600,000 in recycling rebates to 11 counties, and four are in the Nashville region. Local and county governments in Davidson, Rutherford, Williamson and Sumner counties stand to get a piece of the pie. Nashville, for example, is eligible to get $80,000.
